I'm not one for going bananas over the beginning of the new year. It's the beginning of a new period in the date structure we have adopted and, although its nice to have a party, I think that a better alternative could be chosen.
If we're going to celebrate a day for new beginnings may I humbly suggest we celebrate 1st July as it is when, in 1991, Pringles crisps (yes, thats right, the curved potato snack) were introduced into the UK market. I for one think this was a great move as they're darn tasty and it is a well known fact that providing a smattering of ready salted will increase interest in a buffet several times over. You might well have already put out a bowl at your NYE party...
Anyway. I digress.
As nice as it is to wave goodbye to all the bad things that happened in the last year and say how the next year will be better, it seems worthwhile to me to remember that positive things happened last year and slightly less positive things will happen this time around too.
So Ive compiled a small number of ups and downs that happened to me in 2014.
I now live in a first floor flat.
If you let go of a helium balloon it will fly away. Very quickly.
Apparently theres a basement in my Grandpa's house. I didn't know this. It's quite big.
I dropped my favourite Mr Men mug on the floor. It smashed. RIP Mr Bump.
Happy New Year Folks.
